Silicone Onlays® – Superior to Stencils & Perfect for Cake Decorating and Arts & Crafts

Silicone Onlays® were invented as an alternative to using stencils which can be messy and difficult to use. Whether decorating a cake or engaging in any arts & crafts project where stencils are used, Silicone Onlays™ will transfer 3D designs to almost any surface. Because all Silicone Onlays® are made with food grade silicone, they perform perfectly with cake decorating products like fondant, gumpaste and modelling chocolate along with any non-food, clay-like material commonly found in the Arts & Crafts fields. Click here to take the “Silicone Onlay® Video Class” which will teach you everything you need to know when using this innovative, patented design transfer device. In the past, the use of stencils has been the most common method to transfer designs onto cakes and other arts and crafts projects. The problem with stencils is that they are usually made from thin, rigid plastic sheets that have had a particular design laser cut into them. These thin sheets of plastic are difficult to hold in place while applying icing, airbrush paints or other mixtures. Because plastic stencils inevitably have gaps between them and the surface they are applied to, the patterns left by the stencils can have rough edges that are not as sharp as they could be. Stencils tend to get soiled on the underside quite easily which can be messy unless cleaned before re-applying during repeated use. Silicone Onlays® resolve many of the problems mentioned here because they cut and hold moldable materials that can be pressed onto a surface in order to transfer the 3D design perfectly.
